Wordful Wednesday

I was listening to the radio station NPR,
when there was an interview going on
with a writer. Instantly my heartstrings
were pulled into the grasps of the story!
Gwen Cooper had written a book about her
cat, Homer. She got this cat from her vet
while he was still young, abandoned, and
eyeless. The kitten had been found and
brought to the vet with a very bad eye
infection that would take his life if not
treated the best way possible. Gwen Cooper
went on the describe the amazing feats this
cat could do when many didn't have
high hopes for him. I have only
just started reading the book but I can
already tell it'll be an interesting one!
The book is called "Homer's Odyssey: a
Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned
about Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat"
by Gwen Cooper. If you have the time I suggest picking this
one up for a good read! Let me know what
you think if you do! :3 To end this post
here is David being his cute self.

David gets a Girlfriend?

You heard right! It's possible we will
have an addition! A coworker of mine
is moving far away and wanted a
fellow cat lover to take car of her "Tootsie".
I am worried David might not accept her.
Or play a little rough than her liking. D:
Does anyone have suggestions on the
introduction of a new cat to a home? Any
help is appreciated!

David Loves Melvin

Today David got his new toys from Melvin!
He absolutely loves them! You can find many
more cute cute hand made kitty toys at Melvin's
humans Etsy shop! Currently, portions of the
purchases are going toward a local animal
rescue near Melvin. I was able to take a quick
video of David playing with the hamster.

Hope you all enjoy! You can see at the
end where David flings it too far and plays it off.
And thanks again to Melvin and his human!! :3

David Has a Friend

Another one of my creepy cat finds is
this large kitty thing. Again I found it
on Estatesales.net. The house had many
weird cat like figures but this one just
stood out from the rest!

David freaked when I first brought it home.
It looks exactly like our old cat, Kermit.
I apologize again for the lack of updating.
Personal issues arise and become more
important. I have gotten a new laptop that
David has taking a liking to. So expect many
more photos! Videos too!

Words Can't Explain

How funny this is to come home to.

My boyfriends French Bulldog Daphne
is a total clown! Another short post I
know! Been too busy D: Hopefully
this picture makes up for it!

Friday Finds!

Hello and goodmorning! David is still being
aloof today and only stopping by to sit in his
fort for a little while. Yes, I made David a fort.
While David is off on some adventure of sorts
I'll be showing more finds!

I know! I know! You're just blown away
by the sheer awesomeness of this!!!
It's ohkay, take a deep breath.
This little figure of greatness comes from
Re-Ment. They are packaged in a way
so that you are unable to know which
pose you are getting. It's a fun sort
of lottery! Even if you get one of the
same you're only doubling the cuteness!
I was lucky enough to get mine through
UrbanOutfitters while they still had them in
stock. Currently the Re-Ment website is
saying they are on back order. But
you're bound to find other cute mini-things!

hehehe ("^_^)

Thinking of You Thursday.

David is on an adventure of sorts and doesn't
have the time of day for me! So today I will
be showing you one cat and one dog from the
Dallas SPCA that are really in need of a home!

First up is April!

This is one gorgeous dog that I have had the pleasure to meet.
She was released to the SPCA in May by her owners because
they were no longer able to spend time with her. She looks
like a Wirehair Jack Russell but not as small. Like most terriers,
April has a lot of energy and is always looking for some fun, which
is why she may not be cut out for a home with young children.
The SPCA has a training program for the dogs called
the Pet Enrichment Basic Training program which April is
apart of! She is being taught basic commands so she will fit better
into her new home!

And now I have for you, FiFi!

FiFi is a large kitty weighting in at 17 pounds!
Shes a five year old Siamese mix with the cutest blue eyes!
As you can see, FiFi loves being in boxes or any sort
of small space. She is a very sweet girl that loves a
nice lap to sleep on and be petted.

These lovebugs and many others are waiting at the SPCA
or your local shelter for a new home! If you cant adopt,
volunteer! It greatly helps these animals to be shown
some extra love. And trust me you'll get love back!

David and Good Finds.

This is a porcelain kitty my grandmother gave to me.
It's such a cute little thing!

David has taken a strange liking to it and from
time to time he'll knock it off my dresser.

And this little picture is what I mentioned before.
I know it looks so creepy but it really is cute!
An amazing find too! The best places that I've gone
to find these are estate sales, garage sales, antique,
second hand and vintage shops. They're a treasure trove
if you dig deep enough! Overall for the best find and cheaper
prices are Estate Sales. This website helps greatly to find
local estate sales, get a preview of what they're selling, and
some will let you buy before they open to the public!

Good morning, miłości!

Did you sleep well? What's that you say? You had
a dream you were chasing a rabbit? You caught it
you say? No wonder I have bite marks on my toes...

Anyways, here's a great find I stumbled upon at Lulu B's!
I just looooove collecting weird and different cat art.
It's just the cutest thing ever! The Framing is awesome and
that kitten is adorable! The only problem is the price tag D:
Originally $98, its marked down to $60 something. Instead I
bought a small framed black floofy kitten painting for about $5.
In the same pose of course.

David Smells the Flowers.

*sniff.... sniffffff*

*sniff sniff sniff*

This is one of Davids favorite spots in the gardens.
And he looks so cute too!
I catch him smelling certain ones then taking a
large chomps out of them.

PHOTOS!

This is my favorite way to take shots of David and Scruffy.
Although its hard to get them to stay still sometimes.
Enjoy! :3

David loves going after Scruffy's floofy tail.

When I'm Not With David,

and actually have extra time I head out to the Dallas SPCA and
spend time with the kitties. (dogs too!)

The cats there have a pretty nice set-up. Large room with many places
for them to jump up on and lounge. BOXES AND BOXES FULL OF CATS!
More toys than any cat could dream of!
Every time I enter its kitty heaven! So many I can barely
contain myself! If it were possible and David wouldn't be jealous,
I'd be adopting everyone of those cats and spoiling them.
But sadly I am unable! So the next best thing I can do is spend time
with them and show them they're loved.

It's one of the most soothing environments I've been in.
Kitty after kitty rubbing and purring and cuddling!

I don't think anyone can stress enough: Spay! Neuter! Adopt!
If you're unable to adopt volunteer at the shelter and show them love!
They really need it and give you love back.

All the cats shown are out of the shelter and in a loving home.

Check out all the available animals at the Dallas SPCA or your local SPCA or shelter.

David goes to the vet.

I'm not exactly sure what David is doing here. I feel it should be censored in some way.
He was on top of the bag for a good while making out with the handle until i surprised him with a picture . Maybe hes lonely. I haven't let him out in a couple of days to see his girlfriend (hes fixed and all jazzed) seeing as he got himself into a nice fight and needed to go to the vet.

The vet gave looked him over and gave him a shot to fight the infection.
I'd like to know what was in that shot because when we got home he was a complete love bug.

Its hard to resist kitty kisses.

David Bloggs

This is David. He will kill you.
It's just his kitty ways. Don't
you see the carnage in his eyes?

I love him no matter how deadly he may be.
